Adriana Lima

Brazilian born supermodel Adriana Lima was born in Salvador, Brazil on June 12, 1981 and is famous for her work modeling intimates for Victoria’s Secret.

Lima was discovered at a Brazilian shopping mall at the age of 13 and two years later, finished first in Brazil’s Ford Supermodel of the World Search. In 1996, she entered the contest again and came in second. She relocated to New York and signed with Elite Model Management in 1999. She appeared in international Vogue and Marie Claire and did fashion shows for Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Armani, Fendi and Christian Lacroix.

Her print work includes clients Maybelline, bebe and BCBG and has covers for Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Vogue and GQ.

Lima opened the 2003 Victoria’s Secret fashion show and has done many television commercials for the brand. She is currently the contract spokesmodel for their ‘Angel’ line and has appeared in their Superbowl XLII ad.

Fluent in three languages, Lima is both smart and beautiful. She was the fourth highest paid model in 2007.
