Ashley Leggat is a Canadian actress who was born in Hamilton, Ontario on September 26, 1986.
Leggat began her theatrical training at the age of 5 when she was enrolled in the Theatre Aquarius Performing Arts program. Her first role was that of Marta in the Sound of Music and she has performed in many of the most popular musicals including The Wizard of Oz.
Leggat is also a proficient dancer and has studied ballet, tap, lyrical, acro and hip hop. In 2004 she won the senior title of Miss Dance at the Dance, Dance, Dance competition.
Her acting debut was on the television show, Real Kids, Real Adventures and she went on to appear in A Very Married Christmas, The Blobheads and Ace Lightening. Her biggest film to date was in the 2004 comedy, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, alongside Lindsay Lohan.
Since 2005, Leggat has starred in the Family Channel series, Life with Derek.
