Blanchett Plugs Watch At The Crossing

What some people won’t do for a free watch.

Multi-Oscar-Nominee Cate Blanchett starred in a multimedia performance entitled “Minutes of Separation” at The Crossing, part of the annual SIHH watch fair in Geneva.

According to the event’s publicity department, "The Crossing celebrates the introduction of IWC's Vintage Watch Collection-Jubilee Edition 1868-2008.” The evening also featured a performance by Joseph Fiennes and a private concert from Alanis Morissette, who gave guests a sneak listen to some tracks from her upcoming release “Flavors of Entanglement.” Also attending were Kevin Spacey, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, Lenny Kravitz, Nadia Comaneci, Boris Becker, David de Rothschild, and Paolo Coelho.

In addition to IWC, the Geneva fair will feature other over-the-top shows from luxury watchmakers A. Lange & Söhne, Audemars Piguet, Baume & Mercier, Cartier, Girard-Perregaux, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Officine Panerai, Parmigiani Fleurier, Piaget, Roger Dubuis, Vacheron Constantin and Van Cleef & Arpels.

It used to be you had to wait sixty years for a gold watch. Now, all you have to do is emote a little.
