Crüe Fest

Get out your Final Net and teasing comb, Mötley Crüe is touring again. The original members of the original hair band announced the first-ever Crüe Fest in a Tuesday press conference. The Crüe joins Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Sixx:A.M. (Nikki’s side band), and Trapt on a tour of 41 U.S. and Canadian cities beginning July 1st.

Singer Vince Neil, bassist Nikki Sixx, guitarist Mick Mars, and drummer Tommy Lee have also reunited for “Saints of Los Angeles,” their first studio album since 2000’s “New Tattoo.” The album drops shortly before the tour kicks off. The title track was released Tuesday.

It is also the first new single to be released through Rock Band, a wildly popular video game where gamers play along to songs with guitar, drum, and microphone-shaped controllers.

In their heyday, Mötley Crüe were known as the bad boys with the big hair. Today, that’s changed a bit. A little less hair and a lot less partying.

“When the house lights go up these days, everybody leaves and goes back to their hotel room or bus or airplane or whatever,” said ex-Mr. Pam Anderson, Tommy Lee. “It's different now. People have families and kids."
