Jamie Spears has put fears to rest that daughter Britney will be the new spokesperson for Bally Total Fitness.
“Britney's not endorsing Bally," Mr. Spears said. "There's no deal. There's no truth to that."
Both E! and TMZ had reported that “a source” said Spears was in talks with the fitness giant to trade her currently-in-remodel bod for endorsement cash. The news sent the blogs into a tizzy of Brit bashing and a flurry of pics of the pop diva in her heavier days, puffing away on a cigarette.
“What’s next? A deal to be the next anti-smoking spokesperson?” snapped one.
“All I can say is, I guess Bally isn’t all that picky about who they want to represent them,” sniped another.
“Bally’s better watch out. I wouldn’t personally purchase anything that C**** Girl was endorsing, but that’s just me!” snarked ugly stepsister number three.
No one brings out the darker side of human nature like Britney Spears. How about giving her a little credit for starting to turn things around? In fact, let’s try to be a little nicer to everyone. I, for one, am going to stop picking on celebrities for their foibles and begin celebrating their triumphs.
