Country star Taylor Swift picked up the Superstar of Tomorrow Award at the 10th Annual Young Hollywood Awards. Abigal Breslin won Hottest Coolest Young Veteran, and ‘Gossip Girl’ star Penn Badgely is this year’s Exciting New Face.
You can tell a lot about what the stars think of an award by the effort they make to get dressed for it. Sunday evening’s event was definitely low on the prestige thermometer.
Amanda Bynes, Hilary Duff, Jessica Alba, Maria Menounos, Katherine Heigl, Brittany Snow, Blake Lively, and Vanessa Hudgens all chose dresses more suited for cocktails than a glamorous Hollywood event. The guys, too, like Dane Cook, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Zac Efron, Tyrese Gibson, T.R. Knight, Danny Masterson, and Nick Zano went mostly jacketless or in jeans.
It left the impression they all have something better to do. Like they’re happy to stop in and pick up the award, but they really have to hurry if they’re gonna make that reservation at TGI Friday’s.
