Diane Keaton Reaches Infinity

I wonder if Diane Keaton gets tired of being recognized for ‘Annie Hall.’ To be associated with something you did over thirty years ago must be a little surreal. Plus, that tie she sported started a whole 1970’s fad of women wearing men’s clothes. She’s never quite outgrown that.

On Monday night, Keaton was recognized for something completely unrelated to her film career. She took home the 2008 ICP Infinity Trustees Award. Others in attendance included Helena Christensen, Blythe Danner, and Calvin Klein and his wife Kelly Klein, who were on the event’s committee.

The International Center of Photography created the awards, "to bring public attention to outstanding achievements in photography by honoring individuals with distinguished careers in the field and by identifying future luminaries."

Not only is Keaton a published photographer, she edits collections of the work of other, mostly forgotten or ignored, photographers. Later this month, ICP will exhibit her latest work called ‘Bill Wood’s Business.’

Acting, directing, writing, philanthropy, photography. And let’s not forget modeling for L’Oreal.

No wonder she wears men’s clothes. She doesn’t have time for panty hose.
