For $995 plus tax, you can help one of sixteen global causes from breast cancer to women in transition. Plus, Cartier will donate an additional 10% of Thursday’s sales from its LOVE collection to all sixteen charities.
A few years ago, Cartier began partnering with celebrities to raise money for their pet charities. The jeweler designed special versions of its classic pink- and white-gold LOVE bracelet with different colors of knotted silk cord to signify which pet charity receives the proceeds.
On Wednesday night Cartier threw a little fundraiser/thank you party for its new 2008 celebrity ambassadors:
- Janet Jackson for Ovarian Cancer National Alliance; gunmetal bracelet
- Fergie for The Peapod Foundation; orange bracelet
- Good Charlotte for The Richie-Madden Children's Foundation; deep jade green bracelet
- Eve for Women In Transition; peach bracelet
- Common for Common Ground Foundation; khaki bracelet
- Hilary Duff for Blessings in a Backpack; deep plum bracelet
- Emmy Rossum for Susan G. Komen for the Cure; pink bracelet
- Ashanti for Boys & Girls Clubs of America; royal blue bracelet
The celebration featured a performance by Rhianna and brought out tons of stars like Dave Annable, Eva Mendes, Hilary and Haylie Duff, and Nicole Richie.
