Why do we care so much about other people’s business? Rihanna performed a benefit concert at Vision Nightclub in Chicago to bring awareness to her Believe Foundation. So what are the blogs talking about? Whether she and Chris Brown are swapping spit.
Not a word about the cause. Well, this is one site that’s going to break that pattern. The Grammy-winner’s foundation helps give medical attention to kids who can’t afford it, buys school supplies for under funded schools, toys for terminally ill children, and clothes for homeless kids. It’s worth mentioning.
The show in Chicago is only one of several Girls Night Out concerts in support of the foundation. There are also shows in New York and San Francisco. You can only buy tickets to the concert by also purchasing a bottle of Moon Sparkle at department stores like Macy’s. A bit cheesy, maybe, but you may as well hit people up for a good cause while they’ve got their purses out.
Can we also mention that Rihanna helped a girl with leukemia find a bone marrow donor last month? And she’s only 19. What’s the name of the Spears sisters’s foundation again? Or Paris Hilton’s? Or Lindsay Lohan’s? Or Miley Cyrus’s, for that matter? She’s always spouting off about her faith. Where are the good works to back it up?
You go, Rihanna. Finally, a young woman other women can look up to. Still... It would be nice if she and Chris Brown hooked up. They’re so cute together.
